MyPATHS is a company dedicated to providing teachers with engaging learning activities for students at very low costs. Josh Jackson and I created this company because we are passionate about teaching and learning. Josh has taught 6th grade Language Arts for 10 years and I have taught and worked as an Instructional facilitator for over 20 years. Through our conversations as colleagues we came to the realization that education is much more demanding then when we started our careers. What is asked of teachers today including improved test scores, professional learning communities, increased flex/remediation time, and more responsibilities before and after school, leaves little time for planning and designing quality work. About five years ago Josh and I started having conversations around how we could help teachers in our own district as well as around the world and MyPATHS was born.
We decided our first mission was to create engaging activities focusing on NWEA MAPs Vocabulary in each RIT band. We know how important it is for students to meet their growth rates each year in MAPs and focusing on NWEA's released vocabulary is a way to do it. That is exactly what we have been doing since the beginning of June and the results have been exciting! Josh is one of the best game designers in Power Point that you will ever meet. Hist games are phenomenal.
